The Avocado Toast contour collage postcard features a minimalist drawing of an avocado contrasted with vintage illustrations of a loaf of bread and a knife. One of a set of three, it’s a reproduction of a print from my solo show at The Manx in January 2020. The collages have also been published in the online literary arts journal Empty Mirror.
A contour drawing is done while observing an object closely and drawing it without looking down at the page. Here it offsets the structural approach of collage, breaking up the detailed vintage 19th century images with a loose, spontaneous line.
For framing or for mailing. 5" x 7" in size, in four colour printing on 16 point premium card stock with a nice matte finish. This is a limited edition item!
